What this transponder is for
The 6GT2300-0CC00-0AX0: This is a SIMATIC RF1100T transponder — the tag you pair with an RF1000 reader to copy a previously created configuration onto it. It's not a general-purpose RFID tag for tracking pallets or tools; its job is to hold the setup data that tells the reader how to behave. The chip inside is a MIFARE DESFire EV2, which means the 8000 bytes of user memory are encrypted and the configuration can only be created with a special tool. That's a deliberate lock — once you've set up one reader, you clone the config to others without re-entering parameters at each station.
IP67 means the transponder body and the chip inside survive washdown — suitable for food-and-bev lines or outdoor stations where the reader gets hosed off. The 13.56 MHz operating frequency and ISO 14443-A protocol are standard for proximity smart cards; the reader's read range hits 50 mm, but that depends on the reader model and antenna geometry. The tag itself is a thin PVC card, 85 x 54 x 0.8 mm — about the size of a credit card but thinner. It's printable (handwriting with a pen) and white, so you can label it with the station ID or line number.
