The Siemens 6GT2700-3DA03-0EX1 is a SIMATIC RTLS4030T EX1 transponder for the RTLS4000 real-time locating system, using UWB phase technology for precise indoor positioning. It operates in the 2400–2480 MHz and 6000–7000 MHz bands (country-dependent), with a maximum range of 30 m or 50 m depending on configuration in open-air applications. The IP66-rated housing in gray glass-fiber reinforced polyester is built for washdown or outdoor environments — the enclosure and optics withstand hose-directed water and dust ingress, so it can be mounted on a production line or in a warehouse without additional protection.
Power and battery life
Battery-powered with two replaceable CR123A 3 V lithium cells (VARTA 1550 mAh or Panasonic 1400 mAh). Typical battery life is 1 year at a 1-second UWB localization cycle; standby mode extends to 2 years. The replaceable-battery design means the transponder stays in service without a wired power drop — a practical choice for retrofitting into existing facilities where pulling cable to each tag point is not feasible.
Fastens via four 5 mm drill holes — no DIN rail, no snap-on. The 110 mm × 75 mm × 55 mm (W×H×D) footprint fits a standard junction-box cover or machine frame. Operating temperature range is -10 to +50 °C during read/write access and storage. Configuration memory is FLASH-based, so the tag retains its settings without continuous power.
