The Siemens 6GT2700-3DA13 is a SIMATIC RTLS4030T transponder for the RTLS4000 real-time locating system, using UWB and phase technology for indoor asset tracking. It's a battery-powered tag (CR123A, replaceable) with a typical battery life of one year in standby or six months with a one-second UWB localization cycle. The housing is gray PC (translucent), rated IP54, and measures 89 mm wide by 29 mm deep by 30 mm high, fastened with two M2.5 screws or cable ties.
The transponder operates on two radio bands: 2.4–2.48 GHz (IEEE 802.15.4) and 3.1–7 GHz (IEEE 802.15.4-2015 UWB HRP PHY), with country-specific approvals governing which frequencies are active. Maximum range in open air is 30 m for one configuration and 50 m for another — always follow the manual for the actual range in your facility, as walls and machinery will reduce it. Configuration memory is FLASH type, and a single two-color LED provides status indication.
Sourcing Reality: NRND Lifecycle
This part carries a manufacturer lifecycle status of NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). It is not yet discontinued, but Siemens has signaled that it is in the mature phase of its lifecycle and will eventually be phased out. For existing deployments, this transponder remains a valid spare part sourced through our channel against an RFQ. For new installations, evaluate the current RTLS4000 portfolio for a recommended replacement before committing the BOM line.
