Part identity and deployment context
The Siemens 6GT2700-3DA33 is a SIMATIC RTLS4030T transponder using UWB phase technology, designed for the RTLS4000 real-time locating system. It operates in the 2.4 GHz and 6–7 GHz bands depending on regional approvals, with a maximum range of 50 m in open-air applications. The IP54-rated housing (PC translucent, gray) suits indoor industrial environments where occasional dust and water spray are present, such as production halls or logistics centers.
The 30 m and 50 m range figures (open air) are the maximum line-of-sight values; real-world range inside a facility with racks, machinery, and RF reflections will be shorter — always follow the manual for site-specific placement. The transponder is battery-powered (replaceable CR123A, typical life 1 year in standby, 6 months at 1-second UWB localization cycle), so deployment planning must include battery access and replacement scheduling. The single two-color LED provides basic status indication. Configuration memory is FLASH-based, retaining settings when the battery is swapped.
Mounting uses two M2.5 screws or cable ties — no DIN rail clip, so plan for direct surface or bracket attachment. Dimensions are compact at 89 mm wide, 30 mm high, 29 mm deep.
