The Siemens SIMATIC RTLS4084T plus (6GT2700-7DC05-0AA0) is a battery-powered UWB transponder for real-time locating systems. It uses UWB phase technology for precise indoor positioning, operating on IEEE 802.15.4-2011 UWB in the 3.1–7 GHz band and a 2.4–2.48 GHz backchannel. Range hits 30 m in open air and up to 50 m in ideal conditions — always follow the manual for site-specific limits. The 4.3" ePaper display (400×300 pixels, two-color LED) shows asset info even when powered off — no battery drain to read the label. Two function keys let a worker trigger actions or acknowledge alarms at the tag. It ships with a SIMATIC RTLS battery pack (4× SAFT LS14500) that's field-replaceable.
Mounting and environment — fits a panel or a pallet
IP54 rating means it handles dust and splashing water — fine for a warehouse or light industrial floor, but not for washdown zones. Mounting is flexible: customer-specific bag, double-sided tape, or the included mounting bag. No DIN rail needed. The case is PC (polycarbonate), silicon-free, in Ti gray.
