The Siemens 6GT2810-2AB02-0AX0 is a UHF RFID inlay from the SIMATIC RF630L series, built on an Impinj Monza 4QT chip and tuned for the 860 to 960 MHz band. It is a transparent PET inlay, 97 mm deep by 27 mm wide, with a one-side adhesive backing for mounting onto plastic or foil surfaces. The IP65 rating means the inlay and its optics survive washdown environments — relevant for food-and-bev lines or outdoor logistics where moisture and dust are present.
The read range is listed at up to 6 m, but this is reader-dependent and overrange is possible. The operating frequency covers 860 to 960 MHz. Memory is organized as 128-bit EPC (expandable from 96-bit), 64-byte user memory, and a 32-bit TID. The 64-byte user space is enough for a serial number, date code, or batch ID alongside the EPC. The chip supports lock, unlock, kill, write protection, and password protection — useful if you need to prevent unauthorized rewrites after commissioning. The maximum transfer rate of 320 kbit/s keeps read speed high for high-throughput lines. Temperature range is split: -40 to +65 °C during read/write access, and -40 to +80 °C outside the read/write area. The operating spec also notes permanent operation up to 65 °C, with 200 cycles up to 80 °C. Storage conditions call for 15 to 25 °C with 40-60% humidity, and a maximum storage life of 2 years. If your process involves autoclave or high-temp curing, this inlay is not rated for sustained exposure above 80 °C.
Integration notes
The inlay is designed for the SIMATIC RF600 system and uses the EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-63 protocol. It is multitag-capable. The printing process is thermal transfer, validated with the Toshiba B-SX4T printer.
