The Siemens 6GT2810-2AB03 is a SIMATIC RF630L SmartLabel Inlay — a passive UHF RFID tag designed for the RF600 system. It is a PET inlay, transparent, measuring 54 mm deep by 34 mm wide by 0.3 mm thick, with one-side adhesive mounting onto plastic or foil surfaces. It operates across 860 to 960 MHz, covering global UHF RFID bands, and communicates via the EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-63 protocol at up to 320 kbit/s. The NXP G2XM transponder chip provides 240-bit EPC memory (expandable from 96 to 240 bits), 64 bytes of user memory, and 64-bit TID memory. Memory features include lock, unlock, kill, write protection, and password protection. The read range is rated up to 5 m, though the system manual notes overrange is possible and range is reader-dependent. The tag is multi-tag capable, meaning it works in dense reader environments where multiple tags are read simultaneously.
Environmental and deployment fit
Temperature tolerance is application-specific: during read/write access the tag operates from -40 to +65 °C. Outside the read/write area it survives -40 to +80 °C. Storage conditions are 15 to 25 °C with a maximum shelf life of 2 years at 40 to 60 % humidity. The operating temperature is permanent up to 65 °C, and up to 80 °C for 200 cycles. The PET material is printable via thermal transfer process, currently specified for Toshiba B-SX4T printers. Mechanical stress from torsion and bending is conditionally permissible — treat as a flexible label, not a rigid tag.
Minimum order quantity is 2000 units, supplied on one roll. No backup battery is present — the tag is fully passive, powered by the reader's RF field.
