The Siemens 6GT2810-2AC84 is a SIMATIC RF630L SmartLabel PET RFID transponder designed for the RF600 system. It is a white, rectangular tag measuring 73 mm deep by 12.5 mm wide, with a material thickness of 0.3 mm, made from PET. The tag ships on rolls of 2000 units, with 5 rolls per carton, and the minimum order quantity is 10000 units — so the kit is complete for a production run, not a single-sample eval. The tag uses the NXP UCODE 7xm-2K chip, operates across 860 to 930 MHz, and supports the EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-63 protocol. Read range is up to 5 m, though the system manual notes overrange is possible and range is reader-dependent. Transfer rate hits 320 kbit/s. Memory layout: EPC memory starts at 96 bit (12 byte) and is expandable up to 448 bit (56 byte), user memory is 2048 bit (256 byte), and TID memory is 96 bit (12 byte). The memory supports lock, unlock, kill, write protection, and password protection features. No backup battery — it's a passive tag.
Environmental fit and mounting
The tag is one-side adhesible, intended for strongly adhesive mounting on plastic surfaces. It achieves IP67 protection only when properly adhered — meaning it can survive washdown environments in food-and-bev or logistics lines, but the adhesion integrity is the critical variable. Torsion and bending stress are conditionally permissible, so avoid flexing the tag after application. Operating temperature during read/write access is -20 to +70 °C. Outside the read/write area, the tag survives -40 to +85 °C. Transient exposure to -40 °C to 120 °C is permissible for up to 90 minutes. Maximum storage life is 2 years at 45% to 55% humidity. The tag is printable via thermal transfer process, and is multitag-capable.
