What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 6GT2810-2AE83-0AX1 is a SIMATIC RF630L SmartLabel — a UHF RFID tag on a white PET substrate, 105 mm wide by 25 mm deep and 0.3 mm thick, designed for the RF600 system. It operates across 860 to 930 MHz, covering global UHF bands, and uses an NXP Ucode 7-xm 2k transponder chip with 256 bytes of user memory and EPC memory expandable from 96 to 448 bits. The label is printable via thermal transfer and comes on rolls of 1000 with a 3-inch core, five rolls per carton. In bonded state the label achieves IP67 protection, making it suitable for washdown environments — a key requirement for returnable container tracking or asset tagging on food and beverage lines. The operating temperature range during read/write is -25 to +85 °C, and outside the read/write area it withstands -25 to +130 °C, so it survives paint ovens or autoclave cycles as long as the chip isn't being interrogated at peak heat.
Sourcing and lifecycle reality
The label communicates via EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-63, the dominant UHF RFID standards, so it interoperates with standard readers beyond the Siemens ecosystem. Read range is rated up to 5 m, reader-dependent — the system manual should be consulted for exact performance with a given reader model. The tag supports multitag operation, lock/unlock/kill/password protection, and has no backup battery, so it's a passive tag relying entirely on reader field energy.
