RFID Tag for High-Temperature Asset Tracking
The Siemens 6GT2810-2HF00 is a SIMATIC RF671T (ETSI) passive RFID tag from the RF67xT family, designed for attachment to metal assets in environments reaching up to +175 °C. It operates in the 865 to 868 MHz UHF band per ETSI, compliant with ISO 18000-63 and EPC Class 1 Gen 2. The tag provides 128 bits (16 bytes) of EPC memory and 32 bits (4 bytes) of user memory, built on an Impinj Monza R6-P chip. Its FR4 substrate measures 10 x 5 x 3 mm and is fixed by gluing onto metal surfaces; heat-resistant printing is not possible on this variant. The IP67 rating means the tag body withstands washdown and dust ingress, suitable for outdoor or wet processing environments.
Deployment Considerations
The tag is intended for direct gluing onto metal surfaces; no additional mounting bracket is required. The -40 °C to +175 °C operating range covers both cold-chain logistics and high-temperature process steps such as paint ovens or autoclave cycles. The 865-868 MHz frequency band restricts use to ETSI-regulated regions (Europe, Middle East, Africa); a separate variant covers FCC bands. The 32-bit user memory allows storage of a small maintenance or lot code alongside the 128-bit EPC identifier. Supplied in cartons of 50 units with a minimum order quantity of one carton.
