What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6GT2810-3AC80-1AX0 is a SIMATIC RF635L SmartLabel — a UHF RFID tag designed for industrial asset tracking on half-carton packaging. It operates across 860 to 930 MHz, covering global UHF bands, and complies with EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-63 protocols. The tag uses an Impinj Monza 4i chip with 256-bit (32-byte) EPC memory, 480-bit (60-byte) user memory, and a 96-bit (12-byte) TID. That user memory is enough to store a serial number, production date, or batch code directly on the tag, readable at any point in the supply chain. Data transfer hits up to 320 kbit/s, and the tag supports multitag operation — meaning multiple labels can be read in a single interrogation zone without collision, which matters when a pallet of cartons rolls through a portal reader.
Deployment context and physical fit
The label measures 74 mm deep by 207.4 mm wide, with a material thickness of 0.34 mm — it's a half-carton card, not an adhesive sticker. Fastening is not adhesive; it's designed for insertion into a carton slot or card holder. The white surface accepts direct thermal printing, so you can encode human-readable info alongside the RFID chip. IP20 protection means it's for indoor, dry environments — think warehouse conveyor lines, distribution centers, or clean assembly areas. Not for washdown or outdoor exposure. The tag handles read/write access from -25 °C to +80 °C, and storage between 5 °C and 25 °C with a maximum shelf life of 2 years. Range is reader-dependent, with a maximum of 6 m under optimal conditions per the system manual. Overrange is possible depending on the reader and environment, so actual read distance should be verified with your specific RF600 reader setup.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
The tag is supplied in rolls of 500 labels on a 3-inch core, with 6 rolls per carton.
