The Siemens 6GT2812-0GB08 is a SIMATIC RF650A UHF RFID antenna built for the RF600 reader family. It covers the full 865–928 MHz band in a single unit — one antenna that works across ETSI (865–868 MHz) and FCC (902–928 MHz) allocations without a hardware swap. Circular polarization (4 dB gain) and a 90° horizontal / 76° vertical beam pattern mean tag orientation is less critical than with a linear-polarized antenna — useful on conveyors or portals where the tag angle varies.
Mounting and environment
The 198 × 198 × 60 mm housing (Pocan material) mounts via four M4 screws on a VESA 100 pattern, or with the articulated bracket from the antenna mounting kit. IP65 seals the electronics against washdown and dust — rated for the same enclosure class as the RF600 reader. Operating temperature spans –25 to +75 °C; storage and transport extend to –40 to +85 °C. Shock rated at 300 m/s² and vibration at 100 m/s² — survives the mechanical environment of a conveyor or gantry.
RF interface and cabling
RP-TNC male connector, 50 Ω impedance, maximum VSWR of 1.45. The antenna ships with zero cable length; antenna cables from 1 to 40 m are ordered separately. Silicon-free construction (no volatile silicone outgassing) suits paint-shop or clean-room installs.
