Cable assembly for SIMATIC RF readers
The 6GT2891-4EH50 is a 5 m MV plug-in cable that connects a SIMATIC RF reader (RF61xR, RF650R, RF68xR) to the ASM 475 communication module or supplies 24 V power to those readers. One end terminates in an M12 female 8-pin straight connector; the other end is bare wire with labeled wire end sleeves for termination in the ASM 475 or power supply. The cable is designated L-YC11Y 6x1x0.25 (6x24 AWG CM), with a braided shield of tin-plated copper wires and PVC-insulated data wires per DIN 47100. It is PUR-jacketed, silicone-free, and rated for trailing-flex applications — 3 million bending cycles at a minimum bend radius of 75 mm under continuous flexing.
Electrical and environmental ratings
Rated for 300 V maximum, with a UL/ETL listing (CM rating) on the cable itself. Loop resistance per length is 160 mΩ/m maximum, and insulation resistance coefficient is 20 GΩ·m. The cable is flame-resistant per IEC 60332-1-2 and carries EAC approval. Operating, storage, transport, and installation temperature range is -30 to +80 °C. The jacket resists grease, mineral oil, and UV radiation. Halogen-free it is not, but the PUR jacket is silicone-free — relevant if the cable runs near paint or bonding lines where silicone contamination causes adhesion failures.
