Stopping power for SINAMICS drives
The Siemens 6SL3000-1BE31-3AA0 is a SINAMICS braking resistor rated for 125 kW for 15 seconds or 100 kW for 20 seconds at 4.4 ohms, accepting 600 V DC input from the drive's DC bus. This resistor dissipates regenerative energy from a decelerating motor as heat, preventing DC-bus overvoltage trips on fast stops — the 4.4 ohm value sets the peak current the drive's braking chopper can sink.
