DC-fed inverter module for multi-axis servo and vector drives
The 6SL3120-1TE32-0AA4 is a SINAMICS S120 Single Motor Module in booksize format — it takes a regulated 600 V DC bus and outputs three-phase 400 V AC to drive a single servo or vector motor. The 200 A output rating at 4 kHz pulse frequency is the continuous current ceiling; at 8 kHz it derates to 140 A, which is the trade-off for quieter motor operation and lower harmonic content in the windings. Booksize construction means this module shares a common DC bus with other S120 modules in the same cabinet, allowing regenerative braking energy from one axis to power another rather than dumping it as heat. The internal air cooling with optimized pulse sample keeps the footprint tight — no external fan or coolant loop, but the 300 x 629 x 270 mm package demands vertical airflow clearance in the enclosure.
Safety Integrated and DRIVE-CLiQ wiring
Extended Safety Integrated functions — Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Stop 1 (SS1), Safely Limited Speed (SLS), and others — are supported natively through the DRIVE-CLiQ interface. This eliminates the separate safety relay and its wiring in the panel, reducing cabinet complexity and commissioning time. The DRIVE-CLiQ cable is included per the description, so the module is ready to daisy-chain to the Control Unit and other S120 modules.
