Integration into existing S120 cabinets
The booksize form factor means this module mounts directly into a SINAMICS S120 booksize line-up, sharing the DC bus and DRIVE-CLiQ communication with a Line Module and Control Unit. External air cooling requires clearance for airflow through the heatsink — verify the cabinet's forced-air path before slotting this into a densely packed panel. The 600 V DC input is the nominal DC-link voltage from a S120 Line Module (typically fed from a 400 V AC three-phase supply through the line-side rectifier). The 400 V three-phase AC output matches standard 400 V class induction motors. DRIVE-CLiQ cabling carries motor feedback and safety signals back to the Control Unit. Extended Safety Integrated functions are supported — this module can handle STO (Safe Torque Off) and other safety subfunctions without an external safety relay, provided the Control Unit and firmware version are compatible. Verify the firmware version of your existing Control Unit before swapping in this module as a spare.
