DC-bus regulator for coordinated multi-axis drives
The Siemens 6SL3130-6TE21-6AA4 is a SINAMICS S120 Smart Line Module in Booksize format — the regulated DC supply for a multi-axis drive group. It takes 3 AC 380-480 V, 47-63 Hz input and delivers a regulated DC 600 V bus at 27 A, rated for 16 kW of continuous motor load. The 65 kA short-circuit strength on the line side means it can ride through a fault without upstream protection having to clear first, which simplifies SCCR coordination in the panel.
The 342-528 V line voltage window covers 380 V, 400 V, and 480 V nominal grids globally — no transformer tap change needed when the plant runs 400 V or 480 V. The 65 kA short-circuit strength means the module's input stage is rated to withstand a bolted fault at that level; you size the upstream feeder breaker for selectivity, not for protecting the module. The 16 kW rating is the continuous DC output power available for the connected Motor Modules — match the sum of your axis peak powers against this continuous budget, not the peak.
Panel integration — Booksize footprint
Internal air cooling removes the need for external fan clearance above the module, but the enclosure must still allow free convection around the heatsink fins. The Drive-CLIQ cable for the Control Unit connection is included.
