The Siemens 6SL3210-1KE12-3UC0 is a SINAMICS G120C compact drive rated at 0.75 kW with a 150% overload capability for 3 seconds, sized for a standard 0.75 kW induction motor on a 3-phase 380-480 VAC supply. The 150% overload for 3 s means it can handle short-duration peak torque demands — useful for breakaway or momentary load spikes on a conveyor or pump — without tripping. Unfiltered input means an external line reactor or EMC filter may be required depending on the installation environment and local EMC directives.
Integration checklist
Mounts in a standard IP20 enclosure or panel; the FSA form factor (196 x 73 x 203 mm) fits a compact DIN-rail footprint. The I/O interface provides 6 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input, and 1 analog output — enough for basic speed control, run/stop, and feedback without an expansion module. Safe Torque Off (STO) is integrated, so no separate safety relay is needed for a Category 3 stop per EN 61800-5-2; wire the STO terminals to a safety-rated switch or light curtain.
Fieldbus and commissioning
Integrated CANopen fieldbus means this drive communicates directly on a CANopen network without an optional communication module — set the node ID and baud rate via parameters in the SINAMICS G120C starter software or a BOP-2 operator panel. Commissioning requires the free Siemens Starter or Startdrive tool; download the G120C parameter file and load it via the micro-USB port on the front of the drive.
