Drive selection memo: SINAMICS G120C, 1.1 kW
The Siemens 6SL3210-1KE13-2UB1 is a SINAMICS G120C compact drive rated for 1.1 kW output power with a 150% overload capability for 3 seconds — enough to handle short-duration load spikes on conveyors, pumps, or small fans without oversizing the drive frame. It accepts a 380-480 VAC three-phase input at 47-63 Hz, unfiltered, which covers standard European and North American industrial mains without requiring an external line filter for most installations. The drive integrates 6 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input, and 1 analog output — enough I/O for basic speed control, start/stop, and status feedback without an add-on module. Safe-Torque-Off is built in, eliminating the need for a separate safety relay in applications that require a safe stop category per EN 61800-5-2. Fieldbus is onboard as USS/MODBUS RTU, so it can drop into a MODBUS RTU network directly; for PROFINET or EtherNet/IP, a separate communication module is needed.
Mounting is via the standard DIN rail or panel-mount kit; the compact footprint fits well in small control cabinets where space is tight. External 24 VDC supply is required for the control electronics — the drive does not derive its control power from the main DC bus.
