Drive selection memo
The Siemens 6SL3210-1KE13-2UC0 is a SINAMICS G120C compact drive rated for 1.1 kW output on a 3AC 380-480 V supply, with a 150% overload capability for 3 seconds. That overload figure means it handles short-duration peak torque for applications like a small conveyor start or a pump breakaway without needing a larger frame. Unfiltered variant — plan for external line reactor or EMC filter if the installation must meet conducted emission limits. Integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) eliminates the need for a separate safety contactor on the motor circuit.
I/O and fieldbus
The I/O interface includes 6 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input, and 1 analog output — enough for basic speed/start/stop control with a feedback transducer. Fieldbus is CANopen integrated, no option card needed. For a panel builder, that saves a slot and avoids the extra wiring of a gateway module.
Integration notes
Size FSA — 196 x 73 x 203 mm (H x W x D). IP20 / UL Open Type, so it's intended for enclosure mounting, not stand-alone washdown. The 73 mm width fits a standard DIN-rail footprint; plan for 50 mm clearance above and below for airflow. No internal brake resistor — if the load is vertical or needs rapid deceleration, add an external braking resistor across the DC bus terminals.
