The Siemens 6SL3210-1KE23-8AB0 is a SINAMICS G120C drive rated for 18.5 kW output power with a 150% overload capability for 3 seconds. Input range is 380-480 V 3AC. The 150% overload for 3 seconds is the short-term peak, not a duty cycle. For applications requiring sustained overload (e.g., extruder screw start), check the drive's thermal model against your load profile. The integrated Class A EMC filter meets EN 61800-3 for most industrial environments without an external filter.
I/O, safety, and fieldbus — what's on board
The G120C packs 6 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 1 analog input, and 1 analog output — enough for basic speed control, run/stop, and fault feedback without an expansion module. Safe Torque-Off (STO) is integrated per SIL 3 / PL e, so you can wire an emergency-stop chain directly to the drive without a separate safety relay for the power removal function. Fieldbus is USS/MODBUS RTU on the integrated RS-485 port. No PROFINET or PROFIBUS on this variant — if your line uses those, you need the PN option. The IP20 / UL Open Type enclosure means it's for cabinet mounting only; keep it inside a rated enclosure if the environment has dust or moisture.
