Power Module for Variable-Torque Loads
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE11-3AL0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 rated for 0.37 kW low overload at 380–480 V 3 AC, with an integrated Class A EMC filter built into the FSA housing. The low-overload duty cycle — 150% for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, 100% for 240 s — maps to variable-torque applications like fans and centrifugal pumps where peak demand is brief. The 0.37 kW rating at 40 °C ambient means this module drives a standard 0.5 hp induction motor without external filtering, provided the line side sees the listed voltage range.
Control Unit Compatibility and Firmware Constraint
This PM230 ships without a Control Unit and requires a CU240B/E-2 or CU230P-2 running firmware V4.4 or higher. The CU snaps onto the module's top interface; no separate wiring is needed for the power bus. Note that the PM230 supports no safety functions — if your application needs STO or SS1, step up to a PM240-2 or PM250 with a Safety Integrated CU.
