Power Module PM230 — what's in the box
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE12-2AL0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 with an integrated Class A EMC filter, rated for 380-480 V 3 AC +10/-10% at 47-63 Hz. In low-overload duty it delivers 0.75 kW, holding 150% for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — enough headroom for pump and fan starts without oversizing the frame. IP20 enclosure means it lives inside a panel, not on the machine frame. The FSA footprint is 196 x 73 x 165 mm (HxWxD) — slim enough for a crowded DIN-rail cabinet, but you'll need clearance above for cable entry and heat dissipation. No Control Unit ships with this power module. It's designed to pair with a CU240B/E-2 or CU230P-2 running firmware V4.4 or higher. Important: PM230 supports no safety functions — if your line needs STO or SS1, step up to the PM240-2 variant.
Integration notes — what trips people up
Ambient temperature range is 0 to +40 °C for low-overload operation. Above that, derate per the thermal curve — don't cram this into a sealed cabinet without airflow. The integrated Class A filter covers conducted emissions for most industrial environments. If your site requires Class B (residential) limits, you'll need an external filter upstream.
