SINAMICS G120 PM230 — drive module with integrated EMC filter
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE13-1AL1 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 with an integrated Class A EMC filter, rated for 380-480 V 3 AC input at 47-63 Hz. In low-overload duty it delivers 1.1 kW with a 150% overload for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, and 100% continuous over 240 s. The IP20 enclosure (196 x 73 x 165 mm, FSA frame size) is designed for cabinet mounting without a Control Unit or operating unit — it requires a CU240B/E-2 or CU230P-2 controller with firmware V4.4 or higher. Note that the PM230 variant does not support safety functions.
What the ratings mean for fit
The low-overload rating of 1.1 kW at 150% for 3 seconds suits constant-torque applications like conveyors or pumps where short-duration overloads occur during start-up or jams. The 380-480 V 3 AC input covers 400 V and 480 V nominal grids worldwide. The IP20 rating means the module is not sealed against washdown or dust ingress — it belongs inside a cabinet with at least IP54 protection on the enclosure. The absence of safety functionality (no integrated Safe Torque Off) means any safety circuit must be handled externally via the Control Unit or a separate safety relay.
