Drive selection memo: SINAMICS G120 PM230, 15 kW LO
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE23-2AL0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 rated for 15 kW low overload on a 380–480 V 3 AC supply, with an integrated Class A EMC filter. The low-overload duty cycle delivers 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, and 100 % for 240 s — sized for a constant-torque load like a conveyor or positive-displacement pump where peak demand is brief. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +40 °C at low overload; the FSC form factor measures 355 × 140 × 165 mm (H × W × D). This power module ships without a Control Unit or operator panel. It is released for CU240B/E-2 and CU230P-2 Control Units running firmware V4.4 or higher. Note: the PM230 variant does not support safety functions — if your application requires a safe torque-off or safe stop, step up to the PM240 or PM250 series.
Panel integration notes
IP20 enclosure means the module is intended for a clean, dry electrical cabinet. The 355 mm height and 165 mm depth fit a standard enclosure with room for gland plates and wiring ducts. The integrated Class A filter meets EN 61800-3 for first-environment (domestic) conducted emissions — useful when the drive shares a supply with sensitive equipment. No external filter required for most installations, which saves a DIN-rail slot.
