The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE23-8UL0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 sized for a 18.5 kW motor under low-overload duty on a 380–480 V three-phase supply. The overload profile is 150% for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, and 100% for 240 seconds — enough for pump and fan starts, not for high-inertia loads that need sustained torque. Unfiltered means it passes conducted emissions back to the line; plan for an external line reactor or EMC filter if the installation requires EN 61800-3 Category C2 or C3 compliance.
Panel integration and control unit slot
This PM230 ships without a Control Unit or operator panel — you add a CU240B/E-2 or CU230P-2 with firmware V4.4 or higher. The FSC (Frame Size C) footprint is 355 x 140 x 165 mm (HxWxD) and it mounts on a backplate inside an IP20 enclosure. No safety functions onboard; the PM230 is explicitly noted as supporting no safety, so any safe torque-off or safe stop must come from the Control Unit or an external safety relay.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 380–480 V 3 AC input with ±10% tolerance covers 400 V and 460 V nominal grids worldwide. The 47–63 Hz frequency range handles both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supplies. Ambient temperature rating of 0 to +40 °C for low overload means no derating in a typical ventilated enclosure at room temperature; above 40 °C you need to derate or add forced cooling. The IP20 degree of protection keeps dust and fingers out but requires installation inside a cabinet — not for washdown or outdoor use.
