What this PM230 power module is and what it needs
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE26-0AL0 is a SINAMICS G120 PM230 power module with a built-in Class A EMC filter, rated for 3AC 380-480 V +10/-10% at 47-63 Hz. Output is 30 kW under low overload (110% for 60 s, 100% for 240 s), ambient 0 to +40 °C. Frame size is FSD — 419 x 275 x 204 mm (HxWxD), IP20 enclosure. This is a power module only — it requires a separate CU240B/E-2 or CU230P-2 control unit running firmware V4.4. No control unit or operator panel is included. Critical note: the PM230 does not support safety functions, so if your application needs STO or SS1, this is not the module for that line.
What the ratings mean for your panel
The 30 kW low-overload rating means this module can drive a 30 kW motor continuously, with 110% overload for 60 seconds — typical for pumps, fans, and conveyors that don't need a high breakaway torque. The built-in Class A filter meets EN 61800-3 for first-environment (domestic) conducted emissions, so you can skip an external input filter in most European installations. IP20 means it's for clean, dry cabinet mounting only — no washdown, no dust. The FSD frame (419 x 275 x 204 mm) fits a standard 400 mm deep enclosure; plan for 100 mm clearance above and below for airflow. DIN-rail mounting is not supported — this bolts directly to the backplate.
