Power module for pump, fan, and conveyor drives
The Siemens 6SL3210-1NE28-8AL0 is a SINAMICS G120 PM230 power module rated for 45 kW low overload on a 3AC 380-480 V supply, 47-63 Hz. The built-in Class A EMC filter covers conducted emissions for most industrial installations without an external filter box, saving a DIN-rail slot and a wiring step. The 45 kW low-overload figure means it can deliver 110% rated current for 60 s and 100% for 240 s — enough for a centrifugal pump starting against a closed discharge valve or a conveyor accelerating a loaded belt, provided the duty cycle stays within those thermal limits. This module ships without a control unit (FSE — without control unit). It accepts CU240B-2, CU240E-2, or CU230P-2 control units. Firmware version V4.4 is the baseline. The PM230 family does not support safety functions — no STO, no SS1 — so if the application requires a safe torque-off, this is not the variant; step up to a PM240-2 or add an external safety relay.
Mounting and integration notes
The enclosure measures 635 x 275 x 204 mm (H x W x D) with IP20 protection. It belongs in a ventilated cabinet, not on the machine frame.
