Drive rating and overload curves
The Siemens 6SL3210-1PE12-3UL0 is a SINAMICS G120 power module from the PM240-2 series, built to drive induction motors on 3-phase 380–480 VAC lines. It carries a high-overload rating of 0.55 kW, meaning it can deliver 200% of rated current for 3 seconds and 150% for 57 seconds — enough to handle a hard-starting pump or a conveyor that snags briefly. Under low overload the rating steps to 0.75 kW, with 150% for 3 seconds and 110% for 57 seconds, but the ambient ceiling drops from 50 °C to 40 °C. The built-in braking chopper handles vertical loads without an external resistor bank, though you still need to size the resistor to the duty cycle.
