30 kW high overload with built-in Class A filter
The 6SL3210-1RE27-5AL0: This SINAMICS G120 PM240P-2 Power Module delivers 30 kW in high-overload duty (150% for 60 s, 100% for 240 s) and 37 kW in low-overload duty (135% for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, 100% for 240 s) from a 380-480 VAC, 47-63 Hz supply. The built-in Class A EMC filter saves an external filter and panel space in installations that need conducted emissions suppression per EN 61800-3. The FSD frame size (472 x 200 x 237 mm, H x W x D) and IP20 protection mean it mounts inside a cabinet with forced cooling — plan for clearance above and below for airflow, and keep the ambient under 50 °C for high-overload or 40 °C for low-overload ratings.
NRND — plan your BOM accordingly
Siemens lists this power module as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). It is not yet discontinued, but the manufacturer is signaling a phase-out. For new projects, look at the current PM240P-2 or PM240-2 variants in the SINAMICS G120 family — the form factor and control unit compatibility may differ. Existing BOM lines using this module can still be filled through independent distribution.
Compliance and documentation for cross-border trade
RoHS compliant since December 2016. The REACH Article 33 declaration notes lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1% w/w in certain components — this matters for EU import documentation and end-of-life reporting. Export control classification is AL: N / ECCN: 9N9999, which means no special license is required for most destinations.
