The Siemens 6SL3210-5BE13-7CV1 is a SINAMICS V20 basic converter sized for a 0.37 kW motor on 380-480 V three-phase supply, with a 150% overload capability for 60 seconds — enough for pump, fan, or conveyor starts on a light-duty line. It includes an integrated EMC filter Category C3, which meets the conducted emission limits for industrial second-environment networks (TN/TT systems) without an external filter, saving a DIN-rail slot and a wiring step. Onboard I/O is four digital inputs, two digital outputs, two analog inputs, and one analog output; fieldbus is USS or MODBUS RTU via the built-in RS-485 port, with a basic operator panel (BOP) for local parameter access. The IP20 / UL open-type enclosure suits clean, dry panel environments — mount it in a cabinet with a minimum of dust ingress, not on the machine frame in a washdown zone.
Integration notes
Size A frame — 90 mm wide, 150 mm high, 145.5 mm deep — fits the standard V20 mounting footprint. The 220 x 120 x 180 mm shipping box is larger than the drive itself; plan for the outer carton if the drive is going straight to an enclosure build. An integrated braking unit is included, so for simple deceleration of small inertia loads (conveyor stop, spindle coast) no external braking resistor is needed — saves panel space and a wiring pair. For vertical loads or fast cycling, an external resistor may still be required. Supply range is 380-480 V AC three-phase, -15% / +10%, 47-63 Hz. That covers most European and North American 400 V class grids; a 480 V step-down transformer is not needed for 480 V line feeds.
