The Siemens 6SL3210-5BE21-5UV1 is a SINAMICS V20 basic converter rated for 1.5 kW on a 380-480 V 3 AC supply, 47-63 Hz. It delivers 150% overload for 60 seconds — enough for starting a pump or conveyor against inertia without oversizing the frame. Unfiltered input keeps conducted emissions higher than a filtered variant, so plan for an external line reactor or filter if the installation must meet EN 55011 Class A or B limits. The integrated braking unit handles dynamic deceleration for light-to-moderate overhauling loads; for high-inertia or vertical loads, add an external braking resistor. I/O complement: 4 digital inputs, 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs, 1 analog output. Fieldbus is USS or MODBUS RTU via the built-in RS-485 port — no option card needed for basic PLC communication. The built-in BOP (Basic Operator Panel) provides local start/stop and parameter access without a separate keypad.
Frame size A: 90 x 166 x 145.5 mm (WxHxD). IP20 / UL open type — intended for enclosure mounting with adequate clearance for airflow. The integrated braking unit shares the DC bus internally; terminal assignments for the braking resistor and motor leads follow the standard V20 layout. Verify that the control terminal strip accepts 0.5–1.5 mm² wire; spring-cage or screw type depends on the revision, but the manual covers both.
