Drive selection memo
The Siemens 6SL3211-0AB21-1UB0 is a SINAMICS G110 CPM110 AC-drive rated for 1.1 kW in both constant-torque (CT) and variable-torque (VT) duty from a single-phase 200-240 VAC supply. It uses RS485 communication with the USS protocol, so it integrates into a Siemens PLC network without a separate gateway. The CT overload capability is 150 % for 60 seconds, which handles short-duration load spikes on a conveyor or pump without tripping. No built-in filter means the drive expects a clean supply or an external line reactor — factor that into the panel bill. IP20 protection limits it to a clean, dry enclosure — not for washdown or outdoor mounting. The ambient range of -10 to +50 °C covers most ventilated cabinet environments, but derate above 40 °C per the thermal curve.
Integration notes
The drive measures 160 x 140 x 142 mm (HxWxD) and mounts to a backplate or DIN rail via the standard SINAMICS G110 bracket kit. The IP20 housing fits inside a cabinet with at least 50 mm clearance above and below for airflow. It ships without a Basic Operator Panel (BOP) and without analog inputs — commissioning requires either a BOP accessory or the USS interface via RS485. If you need local speed pot or analog reference, order the BOP separately.
