Drive specs at a glance
The Siemens 6SL3211-0AB22-2AB0 is a SINAMICS G110 CPM110 AC drive rated for 2.2 kW in both constant-torque and variable-torque duty, running off single-phase 200-240 VAC input. That 2.2 kW rating holds for both CT and VT applications, so it handles the same motor load whether you're driving a conveyor or a fan. Built-in Class A EMC filter means it meets conducted emissions limits for industrial environments without an external filter — saves a DIN-rail slot and wiring time. Communication is over RS485 using the USS protocol, standard for Siemens drives at this size.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 150% overload for 60 seconds is the constant-torque figure — the drive can deliver 3.3 kW for a minute to get a loaded conveyor moving or break a pump loose from a stalled start. After that, it folds back to the continuous 2.2 kW rating. If your application needs sustained overload beyond 150%, this drive won't hold it. Ambient temperature range of -10 to +50 °C covers most indoor panel environments, but that rating is without the optional BOP (Basic Operator Panel) and analog input module fitted. Adding those reduces the upper temperature limit — check the mounting orientation and airflow in your enclosure if the drive sits near other heat sources. IP20 means it's protected against solid objects larger than 12 mm (fingers, tools) but not against water ingress. Mount inside a panel with at least IP54 enclosure rating if the drive is in a washdown or dusty area. The 181 x 184 x 152 mm (HxWxD) footprint fits standard small-drive backplate layouts.
Integration notes
Single-phase input only — don't wire it to a three-phase supply. The drive expects 1AC 200-240 V at 47-63 Hz. The built-in Class A filter handles the line-side EMC; no external filter needed for industrial environments, but verify your local mains impedance if you're running on a weak grid or shared with sensitive equipment. RS485 USS communication at the default 19200 baud. No PROFIBUS or PROFINET on this model — it's a simple serial drive for point-to-point or small daisy-chain networks. Parameter set via the USS protocol from a PLC or Siemens operator panel; no onboard Ethernet port.
