What this drive is and what it needs
The Siemens 6SL3211-0KB12-5UB1 is a SINAMICS G110-CPM110 AC drive, marked as a spare part, rated for 0.25 kW constant torque (CT) and 0.25 kW variable torque (VT) on a 200-240 V single-phase supply, 47-63 Hz. The CT overload capability is 150% for 60 seconds. Communication is via RS-485 using the USS protocol. This unit is unfiltered and IP20-rated, with a flat heat sink designed exclusively for cooling plate installation — it cannot be panel-mounted with free air convection. Ambient temperature range is -10 to +50 °C. It ships without a BOP (Basic Operator Panel) and without analog input.
Installation constraint — cooling plate only
This drive's flat heat sink is specified for cooling plate installation only. That means the drive must be mounted against a metal panel or heatsink that conducts heat away from the power stage. It is not designed for stand-alone or DIN-rail mounting with free convection. The IP20 enclosure is suitable for clean, dry indoor cabinets. Verify your enclosure has a prepared cooling surface before committing the part to the build.
