Drive fit and constraints
The Siemens 6SL3211-0KB15-5BB0 is a SINAMICS G110 CPM110 AC drive rated for 0.55 kW constant torque (CT) and 0.55 kW variable torque (VT) on a 1-phase 200-240 VAC supply. The built-in Class B EMC filter covers single-phase line entry, so no external filter is needed for most residential or light-commercial environments. The RS485 interface uses the USS protocol — standard for Siemens drives at this tier — meaning a PLC or HMI can talk to it without a gateway card. The 150% overload for 60 seconds is the CT rating; if your load profile is a fan or pump with lower starting torque, the VT rating gives you the same continuous power but with a different overload curve.
Integration and mounting
The drive measures 150 x 90 x 101 mm (HxWxD) with an IP20 enclosure — suitable for a clean, dry control cabinet. No heatsink is included, so panel airflow must be adequate; ambient temperature range is -10 to +50 °C. The RS485 connection uses a standard RJ45-style plug; the USS protocol runs at 19200 baud by default. The built-in filter is a Class B (conducted emissions for residential environments), so no additional EMC choke is required for single-phase installations.
