The Siemens 6SL3211-1NE17-7UL0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM230 — an unfiltered drive inverter in an IP20 enclosure, sized for a 3 kW motor at low overload duty. It runs on 380-480 V three-phase AC, +10/-10%, 47-63 Hz, and delivers the overload profile that matters for real-world sizing: 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, 100 % continuously for 240 s. That means it handles short peak torque demands — a conveyor start, a pump breakaway — without tripping, then settles to rated load.
Control unit and firmware — pick your pair
This PM230 ships without a Control Unit or operator panel — you supply one separately. It is released for CU240B/E-2 and CU230P-2 control units running firmware V4.4 or higher. No safety functions on this variant (the PM230 supported no safety), so if your line requires a safe torque-off, step up to the PM240 or a G120C with integrated STO. Ambient temperature rating is 0 to +40 °C for low overload operation. The unfiltered design means conducted emissions are higher than a filtered variant — factor that into your EMC plan if the drive shares a panel with sensitive controls.
