The Siemens 6SL3211-1PE18-0AL1 is a SINAMICS Power Module PM240-2 with an integrated Class A EMC filter and an integrated braking chopper. It's the power stage for a modular drive system — you supply the Control Unit separately. The module handles 380-480 V 3 AC input at 47-63 Hz and delivers two overload profiles: high overload (HO) at 2.2 kW with 200% current for 3 seconds and 150% for 57 seconds, or low overload (LO) at 3 kW with 150% for 3 seconds and 110% for 57 seconds. The HO rating is the one to size for demanding cyclic loads like conveyors or presses; the LO rating works for pumps and fans where peak torque is lower.
The module measures 238 x 126 x 171 mm (HxWxD) in Frame Size A (FSA) and carries an IP20-PT degree of protection — that's open-chassis, panel-mount only, no washdown tolerance. It requires a separate Control Unit (CU) and operator panel, and is released as of CU firmware version V4.6. The integrated braking chopper means you can dump regenerative energy into an external resistor without adding a separate module, which saves panel space and wiring on vertical-load or high-inertia applications.
