Drive rating and overload profile
The Siemens 6SL3217-0CE21-1UA1 is a SINAMICS V10-1 AC drive rated for 1.1 kW output on a 3AC 400 V supply (-15/+20%, 48-62 Hz). Its overload capability is 150% for 60 seconds, then 100% for 240 seconds, cycling every 300 seconds — a heavy-duty profile suited for constant-torque loads like conveyors or positive-displacement pumps that need short bursts of torque without tripping. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +50 °C, so it runs in an unventilated cabinet as long as the enclosure dissipates the heat load. The FSA frame measures 230 x 140 x 155 mm (HxWxD) and carries an IP21 rating — protected against fingers and dripping water, not washdown. Mount it in a clean, dry panel.
Integration notes
The drive ships without an integrated line filter — plan for an external filter if the installation must meet EN 61800-3 Category C2 or C3 conducted emission limits. The IP21 enclosure and FSA frame fit a standard 230 mm tall panel space; leave at least 100 mm clearance above and below for airflow. The BOP (Basic Operator Panel) is included, so commissioning parameters and diagnostics are accessible at the drive face without a separate programming tool.
