What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6SL3223-0DE24-0AA1 is a SINAMICS G120P Power Module PM230 with an integrated Class A EMC filter. It is rated for 380-480 V 3 AC input, ±10%, 47-63 Hz. In low-overload duty it delivers 4 kW at 150% overload for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, and 100% continuously for 240 seconds — a typical pump or fan profile that needs short bursts of torque for starting, not sustained heavy cutting. The enclosure is IP55 / UL Type 12, meaning it is dust-protected and rated against water jets from any direction. That puts it in the right zone for washdown areas in food processing, water treatment, or outdoor pump houses where a standard IP20 drive would need a separate cabinet.
Integration and mounting
This is the FSB frame size — 540 x 180 x 249 mm (HxWxD). It ships without a Control Unit or operator panel; the PM230 is released for the CU230P-2 control unit running firmware V4.3.2 or higher. The CU230P-2 snaps onto the front of the power module and handles the fieldbus interface, I/O, and application programming. If you are replacing a PM230 on an existing line, check that the CU firmware matches — a mismatch will block commissioning.
