Power module for pump and fan duty
The Siemens 6SL3223-0DE27-5AA1 is a SINAMICS G120P Power Module PM230 with an integrated Class A EMC filter, rated for 7.5 kW under low overload (150% for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, 100% for 240 s) on a 380-480 V three-phase supply at 47-63 Hz. The IP55 / UL Type 12 enclosure means this unit is built for washdown environments and outdoor installation — no separate cabinet required if the ambient stays within -10 to +40 °C for low-overload duty. It ships without a Control Unit; the drive needs a CU230P-2 running firmware V4.3.2 or higher to operate.
The 7.5 kW low-overload rating is the continuous motor power at 100 % rated current; the 150 % overload for 3 s handles starting torque on centrifugal pumps and fans without oversizing the drive. The IP55 rating means the power module withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress — suitable for food-and-bev washdown lines or outdoor conveyor gantries. The integrated Class A filter meets EN 55011 conducted emission limits for industrial environments, so you skip the external filter on most installations.
The PM230 mounts via the integral flange brackets; dimensions are 540 x 180 x 249 mm (HxWxD). The IP55 gland plate accepts metric cable glands for motor, supply, and brake wiring. No DIN-rail footprint — this is a through-bolt mount. The Control Unit (CU230P-2, ordered separately) plugs onto the top slot and communicates with the power stage via the internal interface; firmware version V4.3.2 or higher is mandatory.
