Power module for pump and fan duty
The Siemens 6SL3223-0DE31-1AA0 is a SINAMICS G120P Power Module PM230 rated for 11 kW low overload on 380-480 V three-phase supply. The integrated Class A filter meets EN 61800-3 for conducted emissions — no external filter needed for standard industrial environments. IP55 / UL Type 12 enclosure means it handles washdown and dust without a separate cabinet, so you can mount it directly on the machine frame or near the motor.
Overload profile and ambient limits
Low-overload rating delivers 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, and 100 % continuously over 240 s. That profile suits centrifugal pumps and fans where peak torque only appears during acceleration. Ambient temperature range is 0 to +40 °C for full LO rating — above that, derate per the thermal curve in the manual. The 620 x 230 x 249 mm (HxWxD) frame size FSC leaves room in a standard 600 mm deep enclosure.
Control unit and firmware compatibility
This power module ships without a Control Unit or operator panel. It is released for the CU230P-2 control unit running firmware V4.3.2 or higher. The CU230P-2 handles fieldbus (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Modbus RTU) and the onboard PID controller for closed-loop pressure or flow regulation. If you are swapping a failed PM230, verify the firmware version on the existing CU — a mismatch can block commissioning.
