Power Module for HVAC and Pump Applications
The Siemens 6SL3223-0DE31-8AA1 is a SINAMICS G120P Power Module PM230 rated for 18.5 kW low overload on a 380-480 V three-phase supply. The IP55 / UL Type 12 enclosure and integrated Class A filter make it a direct fit for standalone installations in HVAC, pump, and fan duty where washdown or dust ingress is a concern — no separate filter cabinet needed. Low-overload rating delivers 150% current for 3 seconds, 110% for 57 seconds, and 100% continuous over 240 seconds, which covers the starting and short-term overload profile of centrifugal loads. Ambient temperature range is -10 to +40 °C at low overload.
Integration and Mounting
Frame size FSC, dimensions 620 x 230 x 249 mm (HxWxD). The unit ships without a Control Unit or operator panel; it is released for the CU230P-2 Control Unit running firmware V4.3.2 or higher. Mount the power module close to the motor to keep the output cable run short — the IP55 rating allows wall-mounting in non-conditioned areas, but leave clearance for the top cable gland entry and bottom cooling airflow.
