What this PM240 module delivers on a 380-480 V line
The 6SL3224-0BE23-5UA0: This SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM240 is the power stage for a 5.5 kW / 7.5 hp motor on a 380-480 V three-phase supply at 50 Hz. The 13.2 A continuous output current at constant torque sets the motor frame size you can hang on it — a standard 5.5 kW IE3 motor draws about 11.5 A full load, so you have headroom for overload cycles without tripping the I²t limit. The 16.7 A rated input current tells you the upstream branch circuit and contactor need to be sized for that draw, not the motor FLA. On a 400 V supply, expect around 12 A input at full load — the difference covers the DC bus charging and inverter losses.
