The Siemens 6SL3224-0BE31-8UA0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM240 — the power stage that drives the motor, sized for a 22 kW low-overload or 18.5 kW high-overload duty on a 380–480 V three-phase supply. The 45 A rated current (LO) and integrated braking chopper mean it handles a pump, fan, or conveyor load without an external braking resistor for moderate deceleration profiles. Unfiltered, so plan for external line reactor or filter if the installation must meet EN 55011 Class A or B conducted emissions limits.
Overload Duty and Ambient Limits
High-overload rating delivers 18.5 kW at 200 % for 3 s, 150 % for 57 s, and 100 % for 240 s, with ambient up to 50 °C. Low-overload rating delivers 22 kW at 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, and 100 % for 240 s, with ambient up to 40 °C. The pulse frequency is set at 4 kHz by default; increasing it reduces audible motor noise but derates the output current — check the thermal derating curve if you need a quieter drive.
