The Siemens 6SL3224-0BE32-2UA0 is a SINAMICS G120 PM240 Power Module — an unfiltered unit with an integrated braking chopper, designed to sit in an IP20 cabinet and drive induction motors up to 22 kW under high overload or 30 kW under low overload. High overload rating means 200 % current for 3 seconds, 150 % for 57 seconds, and 100 % continuous over a 240-second cycle at ambient up to 50 °C — that's the cycle for a conveyor or pump that needs a short burst of torque without oversizing the drive. Low overload (30 kW) shifts the duty to 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, 100 % continuous, but derates ambient to 40 °C — pick this rating for constant-torque loads like fans running near full speed.
Cabinet fit and integration
FSD frame size — 419 x 275 x 204 mm (HxWxD) — mounts into a standard IP20 cabinet panel; no Control Unit or BOP included, so order a CU separately. The integrated braking chopper handles dynamic deceleration without an external resistor for most loads; for vertical or high-inertia applications, add an external braking resistor across the DC bus.
