The Siemens 6SL3225-0BE31-1AA0 is a SINAMICS G120 PM250 Power Module rated for 380-480 V 3 AC input, with an integrated Class A filter and the ability to recover braking energy back to the line — useful on applications with frequent deceleration or overhauling loads where a braking resistor would otherwise dissipate that energy as heat. It carries two overload duty ratings: high overload (HO) at 11 kW with 200% overload for 3 s, 150% for 57 s, and 100% for 240 s across an ambient range of -10 to +50 °C; and low overload (LO) at 15 kW with 150% overload for 3 s, 110% for 57 s, and 100% for 240 s, derated to a 40 °C ambient. This is a spare part — it ships without a Control Unit or Basic Operator Panel. The Control Unit (CU240E-2 or similar) must be ordered separately and plugged onto the PM250's interface. The module measures 334 x 189 x 185 mm (HxWxD) and carries an IP20 degree of protection, so it mounts inside a cabinet with the gland plate sized for the power and motor cables.
Because this is a mature, active-line power module, it is sourced through normal Siemens distribution channels. The integrated Class A filter means no external line filter is needed for most European and Asian installations, which simplifies the BOM and cabinet layout.
Cabinet integration notes
At 334 x 189 x 185 mm and IP20, the PM250 mounts on a backplate inside a standard IP54 or higher enclosure. The integrated Class A filter is built into the module — no separate filter footprint needed on the gland plate. Power connections are via screw terminals sized for the 11-15 kW output range. The DC-link bus is accessible for adding an external braking resistor if the energy recovery function is not sufficient for the application — though for most cyclic loads the regenerative capability handles the deceleration energy without a resistor.
