260 A at 480 V — motor drive sizing anchor
The 6SL3310-1TE32-6AA3 is a SINAMICS S120 power module rated 260 A continuous at 380-480 VAC, 50/60 Hz, delivering 132 kW. This is the thermal current limit for continuous motor duty; the drive's actual output to the motor depends on the load profile and ambient temperature inside the enclosure. Internal air cooling with a chassis frame size means the module rejects heat into the cabinet — the panel ventilation and fan capacity must be sized for the module's full-load dissipation, not just the motor kW. The frame also determines the DIN-rail or mounting-plate footprint.
Safety Integrated — guarding and hazard-zone compliance
This power module supports extended Safety Integrated functions, including safe torque off (STO) and safe stop — certified to SIL 3 / PL e per IEC 61800-5-2. That means it can serve as the final switching element in a safety circuit without an external contactor, as long as the control unit (CU310) is configured for the safety function. The Drive-CLiQ cable and mounting plate for the CU310 are included — the module arrives as a ready-to-integrate subassembly for the SINAMICS S120 drive system. No separate ordering of the interface cable or adapter plate is needed.
