Active production, make-to-order, 150A chassis module
The 6SL3320-1TG31-5AA3: It is classified as product class C: manufactured and produced to order, which means it is not a stock-keeping item — each unit is built against a confirmed order, so lead time and availability are confirmed at RFQ rather than from a shelf. Rated for 150 A continuous output at 500-690 V three-phase AC, fed from a DC link of 675-1035 V DC, this module drives a single motor in the S120 common-bus architecture — the chassis form factor with internal air cooling suits cabinet-mount installations where the drive section is separated from the line-side infeed.
DC-link voltage window and output voltage range
The DC input range of 675-1035 V matches the standard S120 Smart Line Module or Active Line Module DC bus — the module expects a regulated DC link, not a raw rectified supply, so the upstream infeed must include a line reactor and pre-charging circuit. Output is 3-phase AC from 500 V to 690 V, covering 50 Hz and 60 Hz motor ratings across the 500 V, 575 V, and 690 V classes common in European and North American industrial installations. The 150 A rating at 690 V gives a motor power capacity of roughly 160-180 kW depending on the motor efficiency and duty cycle — this is a high-power module for large pumps, compressors, or conveyor drives in a multi-axis system.
Safety Integrated and Drive-CLiQ interface
Extended Safety Integrated functions are supported — this includes Safe Torque Off (STO) and optionally Safe Stop 1 (SS1) and Safe Brake Control (SBC) depending on the firmware version, allowing the module to be used in safety-rated applications up to SIL 3 / PL e without an external safety relay. The Drive-CLiQ cable is included with the module — this is the proprietary Siemens communication interface that carries both real-time control data and parameterization between the Control Unit and the Motor Module over a single cable. Commissioning requires a SINAMICS S120 Control Unit (CU320-2 or similar) and the STARTER or Startdrive engineering tool — the module auto-detects on the Drive-CLiQ ring and loads its electronic rating plate, so the motor data and power parameters are read directly without manual entry.
RoHS and REACH compliance notes
RoHS compliant since 05-Jul-2017 — the module meets the EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive for the current exemption period.
