Drive selection memo
The 6SL3320-1TH35-8AA0 is a SINAMICS Single Motor Module sized for a 560 kW induction or synchronous motor on a 690 VAC three-phase output. The DC-link input range of 890–1035 V matches a standard 690 VAC supply rectified to roughly 975 VDC — common in high-power regenerative or common-bus drive systems. At 575 A continuous output, this module handles heavy industrial loads: large pumps, compressors, conveyors, or extruders that draw sustained current near that rating. The chassis IP00 enclosure means it mounts inside a cabinet or drive cubicle; internal air cooling requires clearance around the heatsink for airflow — no external coolant loop needed.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 575 A output current is the module's rated continuous current at the stated output voltage range — it is not a peak or overload figure. For motor loads, size the upstream DC-link supply and cabling for this continuous draw plus the motor's starting surge. The 560 kW power rating assumes a 690 VAC motor at full load; derate proportionally if the motor nameplate voltage or power factor differs. The DRIVE-CLiQ cable included means it connects directly to a SINAMICS control unit (CU) for cyclic data exchange and parameter upload — no separate fieldbus adapter needed for the drive-to-drive link.
Panel integration note
Chassis IP00 and internal air cooling: plan for cabinet mounting with unobstructed airflow below and above the module. The DC bus bars require bolted connections rated for the 575 A continuous current — use the manufacturer's recommended bus-plating and torque values. The DRIVE-CLiQ cable has a fixed connector; route it away from power cables to avoid coupled noise on the communication pair.
